From the age of 12, Tina has always loved the way photographs capture people’s expressions. She was the one at school and parties taking photographs of people and their antics with her little push and point film camera. Tina found photography was a fabulous way to interact with new and interesting people. Tina was always being asked for copies of the photographs and she loved seeing and feeling the reactions of people when they saw themselves in these photographs.
Tina’s love of photography has continued all the way through her life and she still loves capturing people’s expressions, beauty and uniqueness. Tina loves the entire creative process from getting to know the people, their character and then transforming that into memories that the person and their families will treasure.
We see ourselves only in the mirror (a reverse image of ourselves) and then only in our minds eye (quite often disillusioned). It is always fantastic to have a printed image of our family and friends to look at and remember precisely every moment.
It was through photography at school that Tina met her husband, and it was through her husband and photography Tina gained employment with Quest Community Newspapers. Through Press Photography Tina learnt one of the most valuable tools of photography –
“to be able to think on your feet“. Dealing with a variety of personalities, locations and weather conditions day in day out ensures Tina is able to adapt to the majority of situations. At Quest, Tina gained a wealth of knowledge and skills, which enables Tina to confidently run Five Star Photography her way - Five Star Service, Five Star Quality, Five Start Treatment.
Tina is a member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers ("AIPP") and World Institute of Photographic Masters ("WIPM").
